Hyundai Glovis sponsored library construction at Annanagar continues in June and has reached the ceiling level.
Sangamam Materials Distribution in June
Materials purchased over the summer were distributed to the schools in Project Sangamam. These included library books, English language teaching kit and other things like laptops and projector.
Kitchen Shed Construction
On Apr 25th – May 14th: Kitchen Sheds were constructed at Nemiliagaram and Kottaikulam, 2 schools supported by Gloivs Sangamam. This will help the schools cook their food hygienically and without problems even during rains.
Sugadharam Thiruvallur — Final work for 2017-18
On Apr 5th –May 5th : The toilet repair works undertaken by Asha Chennai in Thiruvallur School with Hyundai Glovis support in 2017-18 finally came to an end with the distribution of buckets and mugs to all schools and completion of the work at Kuppathupalayam.
Chappal Distribution – April 2018
On April 2018 : Chappals were distributed to children from 6 schools in Poondi Block of Thiruvallur Dist. We also distributed mats to these school and a projector and screen to the middle school at Anandheri.
Asha Impressions – 2018
On April 28th 2018: Asha Chennai conducted the second edition of Asha Impressions on April 28th 2018. Presentation competition for 4th and 5th std children and Scratch programming competition for 7th and 8th std children were held at Kuppammal Chathiram school in Poondi Block of Thiruvallur Dist. This was sponsored by Hyundai Glovis.
Annanagar Library Construction Starts
On May 1st – 31st : Hyundai Glovis is sponsoring the construction of a new library building for the use of the tribal village of Annanagar. This construction work started in May.
