Amazon Chennai hosted Asha Impressions 2024 at their World Trade Centre office at Perungudi near Chennai. More than 100 children and 25 teachers came from our Sangamam, Poorna Vidhya and Thulasi projects to present their projects. It was an enjoyable and educational outing for all.

At Asha Rural Technology Centres, our terms run from Feb to July and Aug to Jan. The Aug to Jan term got completed and the best projects were featured at the RTC Impressions event held at IITM Research Park mini-auditorium on 7th Feb 2024.
Asha Chennai has entered into an MOU with the education department of Govt of Tamilnadu on 22nd Sept 2023 to work with 50 teachers in 50 government schools to facilitate a one year computer science curriculum to any one class of students from 6th to 9th standards. Students from the 4 RTCs in Thiruvallur demonstrated their projects at the RTC Impressions event conducted on 6th Feb at the IITM Research Park.
Training sessions were organised in Comptuer science and Maths for all teachers. Sessions for computer teachers were organised during the exam week on Sept 18th and 19th at Thiruvallur and for all teachers from Sept 24th to 26th in Olcott Memorial School.

All the Asha Chennai computer teachers from Tamilnadu and UP came to Thiruvallur for 3 days from Dec 20th to Dec 22nd 2022 for training. The function was a success,
June 2020: Teachers haven’t been able to do their usual work at schools ever since the schools closed in mid-March. Asha Chennai has been using their time productively to enhance our content, provide them training, etc.
Training sessions were held over 3 days for all the computer teachers of Asha Chennai.
At the end of term II, during the December holidays Asha Chennai conducted training sessions for its teachers in Computer Science, Maths and English.

A lot was achieved in the Asha Kanini project during 2023-24. In addition to continuing to work on our Asha Kanini product, several contributions were made to improve our IT related processes. See the detailed report.
Asha is running 6 RTCs (4 in Thiruvallur and 2 in Thoothukudi districts). Starting from two RTCs in Jan 2022, RTCs have successfully completed 4 terms. See a status report on the RTCs now.
RTCs completed one more term in Feb 2023. Four older RTCs in Thiruvallur and the two new ones in Thoothukudi are all functioning well.
