Amazon provided laptops and tablets to 18 of our teachers and all 7 of our libraries through their Delivering Smiles program.
Amazon provided support for organisations during the Corona period to sustain education through donation of electronic items. This was done through their Delivering Smiles program. Many of our teachers were teaching low income communities through our mini-schools and through our school support. We requested them for 18 laptops and accessories including bag, speaker and mouse for our teachers and also 7 laptops and tablets for our 7 libraries. They provided these for us.
This was purchased in December and given to the teachers during our Computer Teacher training in late December. It was distributed to the libraries by mid-January. Here is a presentation about the beneficiaries and the impact of the program.
