Asha Chennai setup libraries at 6 schools with the support of Hyundai Glovis in June 2019.
From the excess amount left in the budget for 2018-19, we setup libraries at 6 schools. We provided these school one library book shelf and about 350 books from various publishers including Tulika, CBT/NBT, Eureka books, Apple Publishing etc. These libraries were setup at the following schools,
- Old Thirupatchur.
- Kosavanpalayam.
- Othappai.
- Placepalayam.
- Athivakkam
- Greenvel Natham
All of these were distributed to the schools as soon as they were reopened. There was a function that was held on July 11thwith participation from Glovis as well to open the libraries at 5 of these schools. Venkat and Rajaram from Asha and Arun from Glovis attended the functions.
