12th Aug 2016: Materials were distributed to all the 14 rural schools supported as part of Project Sangamam. Of these Hyundai Glovis supports 8 of the schools. This was also covered in the 23rd Aug issue of The Hindu. Click here to see the news article about this on The Hindu.
As a part of Project Sangamam we distributed materials to all the 14 supported schools in August / early September of 2016. These are remote rural schools in the Poondi and Ellapuram blocks of Thiruvallur Dist.

During this function we distributed various materials to the schools for the year. The materials included:
1. Stationery items including, paper, pen, pencil, slate, palpam, chalk pieces, chart papers, colour pencils, crayons, geometry box, eraser, sharpener, scale etc.
2. Mats for the children to sit on.
3. Trays to keep the ABL cards etc.
4. Sports materials including balls, rings, skipping ropes, board games etc.
On August 12th, Friday staff from Hyundai Glovis and volunteers and staff from Asha went to the schools to give the materials to the 8 schools supported by Hyundai Glovis. Later in August and early September volunteers of Asha Chennai distributed materials to the remaining 6 schools.
